Tom Lynch
Managing Partner
Tom applies Wall Street fluency to Main Street impact—developing advanced energy assets that future-proof infrastructure for institutions, landowners, and large-scale energy users.
Tom brings over two decades of power investment banking expertise as a Managing Partner at CI Renewables. With a career spanning Salomon Brothers, Goldman Sachs, and Deutsche Bank, he has orchestrated over $40 billion in financing, IPOs, and M&A transactions for energy clients including Calpine Corp, NRG Energy, PPL Corp, Constellation Energy, Covanta Energy, RRI Energy, LS Power, Energy Capital Partners, and many others.
As a co-founder of CI Renew, Tom's financial acumen has been instrumental in shaping the company's strategic direction. His ability to understand and mitigate risk, structure capital, and translate complex market dynamics into long-term energy solutions informs every aspect of CI's business model.
While at Salomon Brothers, Tom acted as financial advisor and placement agent to Kamine Development Corp. on the financing of its New York State cogeneration portfolio. Before Wall Street, Tom worked at AT&T Capital and Westinghouse Financial Services on the acquisition of limited partnership interests in the unregulated power sector and leverage lease interests in the aircraft sector. This unique insight into the evolving energy landscape, combined with an MBA in Finance from Southern New Hampshire University, allows him to develop innovative financing structures that maximize returns for CI Renew and its clients.
At CI Renew, Tom leverages his extensive network and expertise to secure partnerships and capital that fuel the company's growth. His leadership has been pivotal in establishing CI as one of the last independent power producers, with over $1 billion invested in solar assets across the Mid-Atlantic region.
Tom's strategic vision continues to drive the company's expansion and solidify its position as a trusted partner for businesses, institutions, and government entities seeking to optimize their energy portfolios.
