The project achieved commercial operations in December 2019 and was fully financed by CI Renewables (parent of KDC Solar) with the land being leased from the Borough of Carlstadt. It was built as a fully ballasted system on an EPA Superfund site and supplies power to the PJM wholesale market. The project was built by The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company.
