ALAN EPSTEIN

Managing Partner

Alan Epstein is President and Chief Executive Officer of CI Renewables. From 2010 until 2017 Alan served as Chief Operating Officer of CI Renewables.

Alan is responsible for the overall management of the business with an emphasis on finance, sales and government relations. CI Renewables and its subsidiaries are privately owned and develop, build, own and operator of large scale commercial and industrial solar projects. Since 2010 CI Renewables has developed, financed and built eighteen operating projects totaling more than 118 MWs DC. Currently CI Renewables is building and commissioning 24 MWs DC for Howard County Maryland, the largest solar project to supply solar energy to any county in the State of Maryland. CI is also currently developing more than 50 MWs DC in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia and California.

Prior to accepting his position at CI Renewables, Alan was a partner at Sidley Austin LLP and practiced energy and infrastructure finance law for more than 30 years. Alan advised clients structuring and financing more than $5 billion of energy, telecommunications, renewable energy and infrastructure projects throughout the United States and abroad.

Alan has a Juris Doctor degree from Syracuse University College of Law and a B. A. from Long Island University where he was awarded a swimming scholarship. Alan is a member of the Board of Advisors of Syracuse University College of Law as well as an active member of other not-for-profit organizations.
